Scenario: You want to host a Singles and Mingles night at your small estate winery on February 14th. It will be a ticketed event, with tickets costing $50.00. The event will be held in the winery's tasting room.
| 1. | Create a listing from the Ticket or Event template. Refer to Creating a listing (general) for more information. |
The listing is created and displayed in Preview mode. If you navigate away from the listing, you can find it again by clicking Manage | Listings and searching for the listing under Inactive listings.
| 2. | Edit the listing overview. |
This is a ticketed event, so you want to explain what is included in the ticket price. In this case, ticket holders receive a free glass of wine, and additional drinks can be purchased. Appetizers are also included in the ticket price. You also want to state that the event is adults only, and that all ticket holders must be legal drinking age.
| 3. | Edit the terms and conditions. |
You want to identify any terms and conditions related to the booking. For example, you will want to outline your policies for rescheduling, canceling, and no shows.
| 4. | Edit the pricing. |
The listing price is per ticket. Due to occupancy limits in the tasting room, you can sell a maximum of 75 tickets, so you enter 75 as the Spots available per timeslot. You want people to be able to buy more than one ticket, so under Pricing you select Drop Down and set the range as 1 to 75.
| 5. | Ensure the event Availability is correct. |
| 6. | Set the minimum notice required before booking. |
You need a few days' lead time to finalize the catering and beverage service, so you set the Time required before booking to 3 days.
| 7. | (Optional) Create and assign questions to the listing. |
| 8. | Link a room resource to the listing. |
You want to reserve the winery's tasting room for the event, so you link that resource to the listing.
You don't want customers to see (or select) this resource during checkout. Instead, you just want the resource to be automatically reserved when the listing is booked. To set this up, you select Hide this resource from buyers on listing & checkout.
