Scenario: Your arts studio has decided to offer a beginner's guitar course for teens on Tuesday afternoons after school. The course is scheduled over 5 weeks and will take place in the smaller upstairs room.
| 1. | Create a listing from the Class template. Refer to Creating a listing (general) for more information. |
Select Recurring Class and set up the class to run every Tuesday. Enter the Start Date and End Date for the course, ensuring the course runs over 5 weeks.
The listing is created and displayed in Preview mode. If you navigate away from the listing, you can find it again by clicking Manage | Listings and searching for the listing under Inactive listings.
| 2. | Edit the listing overview. |
You want to explain that the class is for teens between the ages of 12 and 18, will take place after school on Tuesdays, and is scheduled to run for 5 weeks.
| 3. | Edit the terms and conditions. |
You want to identify any terms and conditions related to the booking. For example, you will want to outline your policies for rescheduling, canceling, and no shows.
| 4. | Edit the pricing. |
You want to limit the class size to 10 teens, so you enter 10 for Spots available per timeslot. The listing price of $250.00 is for the entire course (5 classes), with 1 spot reserved with each booking.
| 5. | Ensure the class is set up as a multi-day listing. |
Review the listing Availability to make sure your set up the multi-day listing correctly. The course runs every Tuesday from 3:30pm to 5:30pm for 5 weeks.
| 6. | (Optional) Set the minimum notice required before booking. |
| 7. | Link a room resource to the listing. |
You want to reserve the smaller upstairs room for the course, so you link that resource to the listing.
You don't want customers to see (or select) this resource during checkout. Instead, you just want the resource to be automatically reserved when the listing is booked. To set this up, you select Hide this resource from buyers on listing & checkout.
