Scenario: You want customers to be able to book tables in your studio for drop-in pottery painting between 9:00am and 5:30pm every day of the week. Your studio has 6 tables available to book per time slot. Each table can seat a maximum of 6 people. Customers need to book a sufficient number of tables to accommodate everyone in their group.
| 1. | Create a listing from the Party template. Refer to Creating a listing (general) for more information. |
| 2. | Edit the listing overview. |
You want to use the overview to explain that the listing pricing is per table. You also want to identify how many tables are available to book and how many people can sit at one table. You may also want to clarify that extra chairs cannot be added to a table, or that tables cannot be shared by different groups. Remember, the goal with this listing is to allow a customer to reserve a sufficient number of tables to accommodate everyone in their group.
| 3. | Edit the terms and conditions. |
You want to identify any terms and conditions related to the booking. For example, you will want to outline your policies for rescheduling, canceling, and no shows.
| 4. | Edit the pricing. |
The listing price is per table, and there are 6 tables available to book, so the Spots available per timeslot must be set to 6. (In this case, "spots" refers to tables.) You want customers to be able to book a minimum of 1 table and a maximum of 6 tables, so you select Drop Down pricing, change the Price Description to Tables, set the Range from 1 to 6, and enter the price per table.
| 5. | Set the start and end date for the listing. |
When you created the party listing, the start and end dates defaulted to the day you created the listing. You want to set the availability for the entire year, so you change the start date to January 1 and the end date to December 31. This ensures that the listing is available for booking every day of the year.
| 6. | (Optional) Set the minimum notice required before booking. |
| 7. | (Optional) Add turn-around time between time slots. |
| 8. | (Optional) Create and assign questions to the listing. |
| 9. | Link a studio table resource to the listing. |
You want to reserve 1 studio table per spot, so you link the studio table resource to the listing.
You don't want customers to see (or select) this resource during checkout. Instead, you just want the resource to be automatically reserved when a spot is booked. To set this up, you select Hide this resource from buyers on listing & checkout.
