With a $0 (zero dollar) listing, customers can make a booking without making a payment in PlaceFull. These types of listings are useful if you want to create a free event for customers, or if you want to calculate the price of a listing and process the payment outside of PlaceFull.
Scenario: You've created a special listing for your studio's grand opening. You want customers to be able to book a single table, in their preferred time slot, for free. Your studio has 6 tables available to book per time slot.
| 1. | Create a listing from the Party or Ticket or Event template. Refer to Creating a listing (general) for more information. |
The listing is created and displayed in Preview mode. If you navigate away from the listing, you can find it again by clicking Manage | Listings and searching for the listing under Inactive listings.
| 2. | Edit the listing overview. |
| 3. | Edit the terms and conditions. |
| 4. | Edit the pricing. |
You want people to be able to book a single table per time slot on your grand opening, which is February 1. You studio has 6 tables available to book per time slot, so you enter 6 for Spots available per time slot and 1 as Spots used per price. This ensures that 1 table is reserved per booking. You are offering the tables for free on your grand opening, so under Pricing you select Custom and enter a Price of zero (0) dollars.
| 5. | Set the start and end date for the listing. |
When you created the listing, the start and end dates defaulted to the day you created the listing. You want to set the availability for your grand opening, which is February 1. You've set up the Duration of one booking as 60 minutes, with a Turn Time of 30 minutes to allow your employees to clean and set up the tables between time slots.
| 6. | Link a studio table resource to the listing. |
You want to reserve 1 studio table per spot, so you link the studio table resource to the listing.
You don't want customers to see (or select) this resource during checkout. Instead, you just want the resource to be automatically reserved when a spot is booked. To set this up, you select Hide this resource from buyers on listing & checkout.
