Setting up tier (group) pricing

Another common pricing structure for listings is tier pricing., which may also be called group pricing. With this pricing structure, you offer a lower per person listing price to customers who book larger groups of people.

Click Manage and select Listings.

On your Listings page, scroll down to the listing and click Edit below the listing name.

Click the Edit button above the calendar.

The Pricing, Availability & Extras dialog displays.

(Optional) Under General, enter the Spots available per timeslot. This is the maximum number of people you can accommodate in each scheduled time slot of the class, party, event, camp, etc.

Under Pricing, select Drop Down.

For Price Description, enter the text that you would like to display next to the price per person.

For example, if your listing is "Bowling Drop-In Lessons - Kids", you might enter "Bowlers" in the Price Description field so the listing price is displayed as "Bowlers $25 each".

For Range, leave the first value as 1 but change the second value to the same number you entered in the Spots available per timeslot field.

This allows customers to select up to the maximum number of spots available for the time slot from the drop-down list in the Quantity section of the listing on your website:

For Rate, enter the price per person.

Note: This the regular non-tier price with no discount.

To create a price tier:

a.

Click Add New Price Tier.

b.

For Range, for the first value select the start of the tier and for the second value select the end of the tier.

For Rate, enter the price per person for that tier.

d.

Click Save.

Repeat the previous step until you have added all of the price tiers.

For example, if your listing is "Bowling Drop-In Lessons - Kids", you might have two price tiers. Your first tier of 6 to 10 bowlers has a discounted price of $22.50 per person. Your second tier of 11 to 15 bowlers provides the best pricing, with a discounted price of $20.00 per person.

Click Save.

Now, there is a drop-down list in the Quantity section of the listing on your website:
