The only way to create a resource is from within an existing listing. It doesn't matter which listing you use because, by default, newly created resources are not linked to any listings. Creating the resource is just the first step. The second step is linking the resource to any relevant listings.
| 1. | Click Manage and select Listings. |
| 2. | On your Listings page, scroll down to the listing and click Edit below the listing name. |
| 3. | Click the green Edit button next to Resources. |
| 4. | Click the All Resources tab. |
| 5. | Click Create Resource. |
| 6. | Enter a Resource Name. |
For example, if the resource is the entire studio, you would enter Studio. If the resource is a specific room, you would enter the room name or number. If the resource is tables, you would enter Tables.
Tip: If you have multiple rooms in your building or facility, consider adding the location and occupancy information to the name. Similarly, if you have different styles and sizes of tables, consider adding that information to the name.
| 7. | For Maximum # In Inventory, enter how many of the resource are available. |
For example, if the resource is the entire studio or a specific room, you would enter 1. If the resource is tables within the studio and the studio can fit 4 tables, you would enter 4.
| 8. | For People Per Resource, enter how many people can use a single resource at a time. |
For example, if the resource is the entire studio, and the occupancy limit is 40 people, you would enter 40. If the resource is tables, and up to 6 people can sit at a table at the same time, you would enter 6.
| 9. | Under Buyer Presentation, select one of the following: |
-
Buyer inputs a quantity: The customer will book the resource by typing a quantity into a text field. For example, if the resource is extra folding tables and chairs, you would want to select this option because it enables the customer to enter how many tables and chairs they want to book.
-
Buyer chooses from a dropdown: The customer will book the resource by selecting it from a drop-down list. For example, if the resource is rooms, and the studio has 2 different rooms available for parties, you would want to select this option because it enables the customer to select the specific room they want to book.
| 10. | Click Save. |
